The Doré Rothberg Law team lost a valued team member and friend on April 9, 2020, with Lauren Morgan’s passing. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013. Being the person who always did what she resolved to do, she moved on to South Texas College of Law and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, becoming a member of the Texas State Bar in 2016. At the time of her passing, Lauren had been an attorney since January 2018 at the firm. She loved her work family, and they were an amazing source of love and support to her.
Lauren was an avid hunter and fisherman and a proud member of the Houston Corgis. The loves of her life were her two Corgis, Sully and Julep. She also leaves behind her beautiful horse, Breeze.
Each quarter, we all vote on a DRL employee to officially receive the “Lauren Morgan Memorial DRL Team Member of the Quarter Award.” In true fun-loving Lauren fashion, the prize contains a huge WrestleMania belt, and we make sure to take photos each time it gets passed. Previous winners include attorney Shira Ali and paralegal Christina Lara-Zamarripa.
Lauren made each of us a better person and she made the firm a better place. We hope to continue her legacy for years to come.
