Connor Smith is a Senior Associate Attorney at Doré Rothberg Law. He joined the firm as an attorney after working at DRL as a law clerk in 2019. His experience includes complex bankruptcies, multi-party litigation, shareholder and corporate management disputes, and guiding public improvement companies through various stages of project completion. For his efforts in his bankruptcy practice, Connor was awarded and named a Rising Star in 2024 and 2025 by the Super Lawyers rating service.
Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Connor assisted DRL on a greater scope of projects, including Purchase and Sale Agreements of traffic equipment, Commercial Tenant Disputes for restaurants and mechanic shops, Mechanics’ and Materialmen’s’ liens, and more. Through this work, he quickly realized the firm’s ability to provide a near complete range of legal services for businesses and people at any stage of a project. Now, as an attorney, he uses his experience and the firm’s comprehensive skillset to help his clients pursue their goals.
While in law school, Connor captained his team in the National Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition—besting 50 schools in New York City in 2019 and 2020. His advocacy experience has guided Connor through numerous hearings and arguments, where he has successfully argued numerous motions on his clients’ behalf.
When not behind his desk or in court, Connor persistently chases a lower golf handicap or is found kayaking in the Texas Hill Country. Connor also plays an active role overseeing DRL’s law student clerkship program.
